Single-handle absolutely the worst place I've ever stayed in my life. The people there were absolutely the rudest most unwelcoming staff that did not give a dam that you were paying over €300 a week even though most the residents in the hotel were not paying. For the first 3 weeks I was staying there the Wi-Fi was not working and they told me to go to the hotel they owned down the road and on entering that hotel they said I was not welcome to use their Wi-Fi and to speak with the manager at the hotel I was staying at which was the same manager as the hotel went to. One Thursday when I had lost my bank card I told him I paid a 400 Euros in the morning as I was having a shower my door was being aggressively knocked out by the German manager he was telling me I must leave unless I pay the 400 Euros today which I greet before they pay tomorrow even though I've been staying there for 2 months without missing a payment and the payment was only 2 in the next day so I was already paid that stay the night he was a very rude unhelpful and I'm guessing he must be autistic by the treats he possessed. I had left my key at work and I asked the man at the desk to open my door so I could retrieve my bank card get a taxi and get the key so I could go back in even though I just paid 50 euros for replacement key he insisted that it was my problem that I couldn't get in the room even though at any normal hotel they were just open the door let you get the thing and leave but this man was the most difficult person I've ever came across. The hotel is full of rooms from filled with people from Islamic countries that are staying several people including a room which I seen on one floor where there was a Middle Eastern family that had seven children under the age of 10 in one room. If you to speak to me about this hotel I could tell you horror stories for hours if you're staying there long term they do not care your room be left uncleaned towels will not be refreshed and they will treat you like dirt because they are claiming money for people that don't have any other place to go so they are just using cash cows. If you have any morals you avoid using this hotel and any hotel owned by this family which hotel kaiserhof just around the corner is

Extremely Disappointing Experience||Our experience at this hotel in Frankfurt was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival on our first night, we had to wait for 2 hours on the street because there was no one at the reception and the front door was locked. When we finally got inside, the floor was sticky and it was dusty under the bed. The following day, when I complained, the manager said our only option was to find another place to stay, but we would not receive a refund. Additionally, there were insects in the room, and the entire hotel smelled of smoke.

It's not a hotel, rather a hostel. The only good thing is that it is close to a train station.
Toilet and bathroom is shared by the whole floor. Only one "special room" had bathroom with sink, no toilet. We were already being called by 16:30 to come check in because they want to leave the office. You have to find alternative parking some streets away otherwise you'll pay €8.

I can comment only on the ground floor small restaurant in this hotel. We arrived at the train station after a very long day touring Frankfurt. There are not a lot of restaurants in this area but we googled a place about a 10-minute walk away. However, as we left the station, we saw this place across the street and tossed a coin - do we walk 10 minutes or stop now? This is a very simple place with about a dozen seats and 1 woman at the counter. We pointed at pictures of menu items, helped ourselves to beer from the fridge and just collapsed in hunger. Hamburgers - when hungry, they'll do! The other couple had a bowl of fries with (chicken) shwarma and salad, sort of a local poutine and a sort of calzone. They described it as delicious. The lady serving us was very gracious. When we paid the bill, 4 of us, plus 6 bottles of beer, was just uner 40 euros. Hit the spot.||||Very basic but, when you're exhasted, do you really want to walk much further and pay a lot more for a fancy atmosphere? We 4 Canadians say thanks to the lady who served us a pleasant evening.

This unique hotel gets an undeservedly bad rap: it is definitely different from most hotels nowadays, thus not what many travelers (especially us Yanks & Brits) tend to expect. First, it is spotlessly clean ,very well maintained & a real bargain--seriously under-priced, in fact. I would think that people visiting Europe or the Frankfurt area who are seeking uniquely European experiences--especially , say, younger travelers bicycle-touring or the like--would relish a stay there, if only because it is far cheaper than hostels, & more private &c. I have stayed for extended periods there, & found it quite commodious. It has 18 rooms on 3 floors, & is across the street from a train station, giving access to all of the Frankfurt area in minutes (yet there's little train noise, even thru an open window on a summer night). The hotel is unconventional in several respects: no front desk at which to check in, just a business office, but it all goes smoothly enough. I noted guests--including families--from Asia, E. Europe, Britain. Some travelers today may have a problem w/ shared bathrooms &c; I chose to think of it as part of experiencing an older, bygone Europe (even the building is unique: like something plucked out of colonial India). The neighborhood is older & undeniably ethnic, but hardly a danger & quite safe at any hour. It deserves a much better rating than commonly given, particularly if one factors in the richness of experiencing a taste of "old Europe" in one's travels. Professionally staffed, language can be a bit of a problem if one comes after hours; but given their diverse clientele, they 'get it done' smoothly enough in any event. I love this place, enjoyed my stay, & warmly recommend it to any visitor to Frankfurt.

First of all, the word "garni" means there is no food served. I didn't know that when I booked the room, but they have a hotel down the block where you can have breakfast for a fee. Plan to do a lot of stair climbing here. The Reception is up 2 flights of stairs and the rooms are 2 flights above that, and they are narrow stairs! And there is one toilet for each floor, not in the rooms. Otherwise, the room was very clean, the WiFi is free, and the bed quite comfortable.

I've called this "2 for 1" as I am giving two reviews. |First off, the hotel itself. Ignore the negative reviews as I have encountered none of the problems mentioned. The rooms are excellent and do not smell of smoke. The owners were fine when I dealt with them which was when I booked in. I didn't see them at all for the five days I was there. You can come and go as you please and apart from the trains across the road running throughout the day it is relatively quiet. The main railway station is directly opposite the hotel and the underground about a miles walk away so getting to and from the main centre of Frankfurt is very easy... and definitely worth it. 5 stars ✨ for an amazing city.|My second review goes to Hostelworld with whom I booked the hotel and on this occasion I give them Zero stars. Granted, I made a travelers mistake by not reading everything on their website regarding the booking. I was in a bit of a rush and my eyes were lead to their average marks for the hotel.(See photo) Straight 10's all the way. Like I said, in my haste I booked without reading everything. In a quieter moment I started to read the full reviews. To my surprise and horror I discovered that this was by no means a 10 star hotel. I contacted Hostelworld and explained what I had done and asked how they had come to the 10 star rating considering all the bad reviews, some as low as 2. They informed me that they don't count reviews that are older than 12 months and that the one, I repeat, one, recent review had given the hotel 10s across the board. This is clearly a misleading and ridiculous ratings system that needs to be looked at to avoid impatient people like myself from booking inadequate accommodation. I was told that this was their policy and due to the hotels "unusual" terms I could not cancel my room. So through my stupidity and their ridiculous review system I was stuck with the hotel. Luckily for me it turned out well in the end and I would definitely recommend it unlike Hostelworld where I would advise everyone to check and double check their listings.

Got a really good deal on this room, probably due to poor trip advisor reviews. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of customer service and the room itself. Perfect for our one night stop-over. It was clean, comfy and cheap!!!
