Nice location in the Black Forest, free parking is great. Overall our stay was OK but there is room for improvement.
The room was clean and spacious, but the matrass was too soft and the pillows were also very soft and flat, we both woke up with back pain.
Breakfast buffet was good quality but not enough variety and too expensive at a price of 21 euros per person.

This is the best place imaginable for winding down after a strenuous hike!||1) Restitutional quality: The cosy beer garden is the most tranquil place for an icecold pils while untying your overheated boots, after which awaits a great shower in your beautifully spacious room overlooking the main garden and the forest, after a little rest you can enjoy dinner at your regular table reserved for you in the restaurant that feels like a gastro-pub. It seems like everybody working here genuinely likes being here - that makes the ambience truly relaxed.||2) Sleep quality (judged by mattress & sound supersensitive people): The Bergkristall beds are long (2.20) and wide (2.0) and super comfortable with split duvets. The rooms are soundproofed between rooms and the windows are double-glazed so you cannot hear neither the river nor any passing timber trucks during the night.||3) Location: There are several hikes of varying length and levels starting directly from the hotel in all directions (see Wikiloc) and if you feel like a light evening stroll after dinner there are some good options along the river Wolf or in the village fields. Besides hiking this hotel is a 5 minute drive from the Mineralogy and Mathematics museum (MiMa) in Oberwolfach which is a must-visit.||Heads up: Guests can bring their dogs, even in the restaurant - but when you book, you can request not to be seated next to dogs (we got a dog free corner)

We booked this hotel for a trip whilst transiting the black forest on our way from Switzerland back to Frankfurt. It was a convenient and very nice location to stay.
Only small downside we could notice was the road where in the morning on a weekday some traffic was unexpectedly creating some noise.
For the rest the hotel is a fabulous place to stay with all one needs.

We were a group of 16 persons (on motorcycles) and We all had a very pleasant stay. The staf was very friendly - they really did everything to make us feel comfortable ( one was a vegetarian - and one had gluten allergy- and they served them very well ) - the rooms was very clean and big - a very very high recommendation from Me

We enjoy every day staying in this hotel. it's authentic and has a wonderful warm atmosphere. The rooms are very modern and were cleaned every day. I will definitely come back again👍👍👍

A very comfortable, clean and welcoming hotel. As a vegetarian, the food choice is pretty good - and – they remembered who the vegetarians were the whole week. Every day dinner was, soup, salad, Main and dessert. The breakfasts were particularly good (so much choice). ||||My single room was adequate, with a nice little balcony. My only gripe is that I personally do not like single beds, especially with a wall one side.||Staff are charming and helpful, most speak enough English. Good choice of beers and local wines, nice coffee, although from a machine.||||We were on a coach holiday and were based there for a week. I enjoyed the hotel very much and would stay there again if in the area. Surroundings are beautiful with lots of marked walking routes.

This is a very comfortable and clean hotel food is very good, particularly the breakfast. Our room was large and well furnished. Staff are charming and helpful. Good choice of beers and local wines.
