I booked this hotel for my kids and me to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be the worst decision I could have made. What was meant to be a happy day was completely ruined.

The room itself was okay, nothing special but acceptable. The real problem was the bathroom. When one of my children took a shower, we discovered the entire bathroom flooded with water. Please see the video I attached — it explains better than words. The mirror was fogged up, the dehumidifier was broken, and with no windows there was no way to get fresh air in.

I called reception right away to complain, but instead of helping, they told me simply not to shower anymore. Imagine that we paid for a room with a bathroom we couldn’t even use. The staff member I spoke with was rude and dismissive, which only made things worse.

By the next morning, we had no choice but to shower again, and once more the bathroom flooded. Our towels were all soaked because we had to use them the night before to clean up the water, and none were replaced. We ended up having to use the public toilets instead of our own room’s facilities in a hotel we paid good money for.
Our rooms were all full of water on the floor, it was just to messy that our socks were soaked, why on earth should someone live in a place like that?

Breakfast was another disaster. Only one staff member was working, and he asked us to wait outside because there was “no space” while dirty tables sat uncleared. When we finally got in, there were no cups for tea or coffee. It was chaos, and definitely not the start to a birthday morning I was hoping for.
My special day was ruined just like that.. I was so so sad about this

This all happened on 06.09.25, a day I wanted to spend celebrating with my children. Instead, it became one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

I cannot recommend this hotel. The facilities are poorly maintained, the service is terrible, and the staff are unprofessional and rude.

You send emails to the management and they don’t reply . This is horrible and can’t be acceptable in 2025 in Germany

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were extremely kind and polite.
The price was excellent.
Great access to bus, tram, bikes, and scooters.
Close to the industrial area, which makes it perfect for business trips.
Breakfast quality and variety were also good.
I just don’t understand why hotels don’t provide slippers.
Also, my room didn’t have a fridge.

Great hotel for short period. Very very clean, everything new (new building), nice good for breakfast. A bit far from centrum (2,5km). For long vacation can be issue with space cause rooms are very small.

Overall it's not bad, but the level of cleanliness leaves much to be desired: during our three weeks of stay the floor was not washed even once.

Decent hotel for the price we paid..however the location is not that great quiet a distance to the nearest bus station and the bus station which is nearby has buses after a long time and the train station is a kilometre away.. apart from that its a fine place if you just wanna relax and be at the hotel for a longer time.. nice lobby .. checkin agent let us store our bags in the. Luggage room since we arrive slightly earlier

The hotel is wonderful. The room was clean and quiet. Daily cleaning and bath towels were changed. It is quite enough for two people. As a drawback, I can only point to the lack of a wardrobe and the sliding door of the bathroom and toilet, which does not provide enough privacy. The glass wall of the bathroom to the room is frosted and not a problem. Excellent room for this price. Paid parking is available right in front of the hotel, the price is 5 euros per night.

Splinter new hotel in a nice new neighbourhood west of the city centre on the river. Amenities in the vicinity and the centre a 20 minutes walk. Convenient parking opposite for a reasonable price, 10 Euro a day. Kind service and very good value for money. Pets admitted free of charge. The room is small but cleverly designed.

Felt like a Premier Inn we get in the UK. Was a comformable bed in a large room. It had a great shower and was a clean hotel. Easy to check in with friendly staff. Negative was the location. Was a good 30 minutes walk from the train station and the town. We got taxi the 2 evenings back from the town. Would recommend for the right price.
